We will assemble on the Abbey Green on Sunday, 23rd April 2023 at 14:00pm. Please assemble behind your name post in section order. Groups should form up 2 or 3 abreast, depending on numbers, and each section flag with 2 escorts should be immediately in front of their section.
The procession will move off at 1430pm and follow the route: Church Place – Church Street – Portersbridge Street – Latimer Street – The Hundred – Market Place – Church Street – Church Place. We will enter the abbey and be seated ready for 3pm. There will be no procession after the service so if parents would like to line the streets and watch, they should do it after drop off, not before pick up.
Please see below of the parade route so you can choose your spot!
We have the privilege of Romsey’s Old Cadets kindly playing for us as the parade passes the town hall. – We recommend standing near there for the best experience!
It is regrettable that the Abbey green is limited in capacity. We ask that the public / family members do not use this area whilst the parade is forming.
All Parade members: Please ensure your uniform is ironed and that you have had a substantive lunch!
This year we are proud to support Alfies Wish as our chosen charity at the event! Please visit https://www.alfieswish.org.uk/ for more info.
***We kindly ask that anyone who wishes to use the Abbey during the service, allows the parade to enter and take their seats first. Extra seating will be provided at the rear of the Abbey and will be opened up after the parade has sat.***
If you have any queries please email the team or speak to your section leader.
