Meet The Team

I’ve been in Scouting since being one of the first Beaver Scouts in 1986, passing through all the sections and achieving my Queen’s Scout Award as a Venture Scout in 2001. Having initially being a Venture Scout Leader, I moved into the Scout section whilst studying in Leeds then taking on the newly opened Explorer Unit in my then District. A couple of years spent in Milton Keynes again as a Scout Leader (or more properly, Newport Pagnell) then a last minute completion of my Explorer Belt preceded my making my way to Romsey in 2009. Since then I have led in every section bar the Cubs, sandwiching periods as Development Lead and ADC Beavers along the way before ending up as a Group Scout Leader / Lead Volunteer.

Away from Scouting I am a keen rugby union fan, having climbed the county ladder in my youth, play in the Mountbatten Community Wind Band and like to swim, run and go for walks when I manage to get some time spare!
