Welcome to Romsey District Scouts
Scouting helps children and young adults reach their full potential and make a positive impact in communities. Through fun and challenging activities, Scouts develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, self-motivation, cultural awareness and commitment. We help young people to get jobs, save lives and even change the world.
Scouting is organised into local Groups, which may have any or all of the sections (Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers) as well as adult volunteers. Groups are supported by a District. Romsey District Scouts supports nine Groups in our area, from Kings Somborne in the north to Nursling & Rownhams in south, and from Bramshaw in the west to North Baddesley in the east. You can explore more about each Scout Section and each Group by exploring the pages on this website.
Romsey District is proud to have a Scouting history that stretches back to 1908, the year after the Scout movement was founded. We have played an active role in town and village life ever since then and continue to do so today. You can read more about what we do as a District, who we are and our history on the About Us page.
